The Daggerfords
Duchess Morwen DaggerfordHuman Female. Thin and delicate in appearance, but steadfast in her demeanor. Most notable is her long, naturally white hair, despite her comparative youth. In recent years, she has been seen as a stern, but fair leader of the city. The duchess has recently remarried, welcoming Duke Jorvund Daggerford into Ducal Castle. Duke Jorvund Daggerford
Human Male. A handsome figure with dark features, a well kept mustache, dark curled hair, and bright green eyes. Younger than his new wife, Jorvund holds himself with the air of confidence befitting a new noble in his prime. He is never seen without his crown nor an entourage of royal guards.

Llewellyn LonghandHalf-elf Male. Head shaven, elven ears for all to see. Head of the Daggerford Militia with an office in the Town Guard Barracks. From Luskan originally, trained in their military, but retired and moved to Daggerford for the slower pace and better weather. In previous years, he had less work due to the Zhentarim contracts, but has seen this trend reverse course since the Duke's coronation and dismissal of the Black Network. Jekk Ironfist
Human Male. Operates the local jail and has newly been promoted to Constable following Sherlan's premature retirement. A retired adventurer who once traveled with Sir Isteval. The mostly bureaucratic role in his work had been frustrating in years past, but his recent promotion has given him a renewed sense of purpose. Gnome Male. Fireburst red hair that stands on end and is just showing tinges of silver. Guildhall receptionist. He can been seen as an unhelpful barrier between the Guildmasters and those who would seek their attention, but those who have worked with him in the past know that his love of gossip can loosen his tongue and the schedules of his superiors.

Luc SunbrightHuman Male. Luc is a handsome man in his prime, with golden hair and a full beard. He is always seen dressed in gold-and-rose robes and wearing a fine golden circlet around his head, denoting him as the Dawnward rank. Luc is also seen by some as a self-important and blustery individual. He makes no qualms about catering to the elite of the city, shooing away farmers or merchants if the wealthier citizens require the temple or his services. Human Male. Stouter and a head taller than Luc, Liam is the rugged and dark-featured counterpart to his superior. In addition to serving as the managing priest of Morningglow Tower, Liam is the resident healer within the community. Looks up to Luc as a zealous speaker and leader of the community. Half-Elf Female. Leader of The Harvest House. Patient and soft-spoken. Walks with an air of quiet confidence. Intolerable of nonsense in her temple, expecting reverence and respect of all. Rumored to be romantically involved with Luc Sunbright. In recent events, she is more likely to be found amongst the farmers helping till, plant, and harvest to make ends meet in the community. Human Male. A youth in his early twenties, Odam, of rank Arahar, inherited the Bluesword moniker when his superior, Rerth, then of rank Rauthat in the church of Tempus, fell to an onslaught of Hill Giants. Odam is a lanky fellow with matted light brown hair and a thin face. He is honored to carry the Bluesword title, but a bit overwhelmed for it to be thrust upon him so soon into his service. Halfing Male. Elderly, paternal halfling priest of Tymora in Daggerford. Stout and tall for his ancestry, Bando still wears adventuring gear rather than the garb of a more traditional priest. Bando was once injured in a battle with three lizardfolk, which gave him an injured leg and a deep hatred for the scaly fiends. He walks with a cane where the top features a carved depiction of Tymora holding a golden coin seated in a throne. Sir Isteval
Human Male. A retired Knight of Holy Judgment. Armor of dragon scale and a dragon spear hang reverently in his foyer, gathering dust, along with formal paintings of him and Rulidd Kurchin. Sir Isteval wears tunics of gold and rose to honor the local faith in Lathandar. Balding with a neatly trimmed dark mustache. Raegen Brunegar
Human Female. Taller than average with short, blonde hair. She gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, but her trust is earned, not given. Prefers action over empty words. Does not care for those who cater exclusively to the rich in hopes of reward. Carries herself and her shield of Helm with pride. Helmite leader of the Gem Guards. Seen by many as brusque and unsocial, she and her troops are nevertheless in high demand for the quality of their work and vigilence. Though initially encouraged by the dismissal of the Zhentarim, she is concerned by the shift in power dynamics in recent years. To make matters worse, she is growing concerned that there is a festering corruption within her ranks. Korbach
Human Female. In her early thirties, with dark shoulder-length curly hair and freckled cheeks. An earnest and pious priest to Tyr who has recently arrived, seeking a mentor in Sir Isteval. She has returned to her childhood home of Daggerford with the hopes of setting up a shrine and eventually temple to Tyr within the city, but does not believe she can do so on her own without someone to aid and guide her.

Dellion DelimbyrHuman Male. Operates and owns the River Shining Tavern. Young to be a tavern owner, he recently inherited the property from his mother upon her passing. Is no fan of the Zhentarim and has been glad to see them go. Has a tendency to exaggerate. Koggin & Lily Hardcheese
Halfing Male. A fast-talking halfing who perpetually seems in over his head. His wife, Lily Hardcheese is a sweet, curious halfling who is happy with the simple life of Daggerford as opposed to the dreary business-focus of Bargewright Inn where she grew up. Owenden

Derval IroneaterDwarf Male. Dark red hair and thick beard. Covered in shining, metallic tattoos, a secret of his clan. Last king of Clan Ironeater of Illefarn. Boastful. Bright silver eyes under thick dark eyebrows. A weapon-smithy in Daggerford since the 1360s DR. Dwarf Fmale. Derval's only daughter. Bright, blonde hair kept braided. While her father would prefer to focus on guild business and improving his craft, Veiti dreams aloud about the former glories of Illefarn and the excitement of adventuring and travel. Yaldronno Firbolg Male. Yaldronno stands a head above most humans of Daggerfold. He has dark grey-blue skin and fur and presents himself in formal business attire. Dwarf Male. Operator of The Clean Chin. Started as an undertaker with little success, now operates the best barber shop this side of the Deliymbyr. Frequently changes the style of his hair and his long, luxurious beard. Cromach
Dwarf Male. Oprates and owns Cromach’s Smithy. A relatively young dwarf who in years past has wrestled with self doubt when he couldn’t make it as an apprentice to Derval, In the years since, he started his own storefront, offering his wares for reasonable prices. Human Male. Face and shopkeep of Jerdan's Smithy. Jerdan is handsome, and lacks many of the normal telltales of a smith. He has no blisters, is fair skinned, and doesn’t take himself seriously. He and Oleg are good friends. Gublin

Residents
Kaledus Human Male. Vassal to Gristaxadahn, the infernal lich who has locked himself away in Dragonspear Castle. He has cropped, curled, gray hair and brown eyes. He has rugged, pockmarked, pink skin. He has a square, slightly ordinary face with a medium spotty beard. He is nimble for his age, but also frail and sickly. Stares off into the distance. Argumentative in his areas of expertise and stubborn in reaching his goals. Darfin FloshinFey-touched-half-sun elf. Light golden skin with a purple crown of leaves and vines across his temples. Once believed his entire life would be spent guarding a portal to Evermeet in Ardeep Forest, but when his father died sealing the portal once and for all, he was relieved from this duty. He has spent the years since wandering the Sword Coast and eventually settled in Daggerford, serving as an advisor to the royal family of Daggerford, though his input has been requested less and less in the last year. Half-elf Male. Hunter master of the duchess. Fair skin. Burn scars across his cheeks. Man of few words. No one knows the Ardeep Forest or High Moor better. Has served as hunter master for several generations. Allies with Sir Isteval when the need arises, most recently when a black dragon from the Lizard’s March began causing trouble along the road. They pushed it back, leaving it wounded and retreating back to its marshy domain. Hector
Human Male. A guard captain typically seen at the Caravan Gate in charge of checking incoming carts for illicit goods or other dangers to Daggerford. Doesn't like the feel of the new duke's rule, but thinks he's better serving the city by being the one checking the carts than some that are worse. Jesse
Human Female. Formerly a well-respected guard in Amphail, Jesse retired from combat after taking an injury to her shield arm. She previously trained and supported the guards of Daggerford, but now serves as an assistant to Reagean. She also helps organize the watches and schedules. Sherlan Miller
Human Female. Until recently, Sherlan had served as the constable, and had been honored to serve in the same role as her ancestor, Sherlen Spearslayer. Human Male. A young, snarky wizard. Recently narrowly escaped arrest for arson after unintentionally burning down a neighboring farm due to an elemental experiment gone awry. Delfen Ondabarl
Human Male. Was an adventuring wizard who retired to Daggerford around 1355 DR. He spent his time tutoring the next generation of mages. He became famous from Icewind Dale to Calimshan as a very patient teacher of the arcane arts. Delfen also helped the local militia in all magical matters. Delfen was presumed dead around 1385 DR. However, in 1485 DR, he returned to the town, not a day older, and reclaimed possession of his tower. He was Delfen for certain, but never spoke about what had happened to him in his century's absence. In the years since, he has remained reclusive and disengaged from the ongoings of the city. Zira

Halfling Male. A poet who frequents the Happy Cow Tavern and is all too eager to perform his works, even before they are properly crafted. Scorn
Human Male. Pale skin and dark features. Missing three of his fingers from a run in with the Xanathar Thieves Guild years ago in Skullport. Frequents the Blackstone Inn and often has items unavailable elsewhere for sale in Daggerford available for marked up prices.
