Abyssal Tiefling

Demonic tieflings are often the creation of cult followers of higher ranking demons, where the beast forces themselves on their following, or through uncompleted sacrificial rituals.

Abyssal tieflings are usually considered to be spawns of evil, and are cast out of societies - often causing the child to grow into their foretold image eventually.

race features:
  • Darkvision. Thanks to your abyssal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern colour in darkness, only shades of grey.
  • Demonic Resistance You have Resistance to Poison damage. You also know the Poison Spray cantrip.
  • Abyssal Legacy. Once you reach 3rd level, you learn the Ray of Sickness spell. Once you reach 5th level, you also learn the Hold Person spell. You always have these spells prepared. You can cast them each once without a spell slot, and you regain the ability to cast them in that way when you finish a Long Rest. You can also cast the spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for the spells you cast with this trait (choose the ability when you select the legacy).
