Session 03: The Gang becomes Homeowners

The session begins with everyone causing shenanigans on the city;

• Gwen manages to save a half-elf man from getting murdered, she also scared off the culprit. She also recieves 50gp for her efforts

• Maisie and Madam H manage to establish that there is a ghost, and prepare a séance

• Gaerreak and Kerberos are able to bring the cleric to Vincent, who begins to investigate their enquiries (though the pair still pay 20gp each)

That night, while Gwen is still on her mission, the remaining party members conduct a séance in the taproom and learn the following (with some possession shenanigans

• The tavern used to be owned by a man named Lif.

• The tavern was his life's work and he just wants to see it open to people again.

• He will help the gang reopen the tavern.

After such an eventful night, the gang goes to bed; that night Masie also experiences flashes of her past during her trance. The next morning; Gaerreak, Madam H and Maisie go along to the shops in Trollskull Alley to gather supplies for the tavern and the haunted house they plan to run that night. During Guildhall Day, some of the gang went to Book Wyrm’s Treasure

• Maisie is able to sell the spellbook for 25gp.She also finds a cookbook of halfling recipies called "Poh-tay-toes’ - Boil ‘em, mash ‘em, stick ‘em in a stew" by Gamwise Samgee.
She also meets a strange man named Julio, who seems to recognise someone she shares a resemblance with; she is told if she needs to ever leave the city quickly to follow the directions on a card given to her.

• Madam H finds 'Van Richten's Guide to Lycanthropy', a monster hunting guide

• Gaerreak found a guide to thieving in Waterdeep, with a Thieves' Cant dictionary included.

Elsewhere, Madame H gets a second hand full length mirror that's seen better days.   That night with the combined efforts of Madam H, Gaerreak, Maisie and Lif; they make 87gp conducting the haunted house tour. With spirits high, Masie and Madam H go to Phaulkonmere to meet Melannor Fellbranch to recieve a quest from the Emerald Enclave. Maisie becomes an initiate (and recieves a charm) and is asked to investigate a Scarecrow terrorising farms in the Undercliff area of Waterdeep. The party sets up camp, first watch is uneventful; but Gaerreak notices not one but three scarecrows approaching camp...
