Constable Vokes
Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
Appearance:
Vosk is a tall, broad-shouldered man in his late twenties, with a lean but sturdy build that hints at years of disciplined training. His hair is dark brown, cut short, with a faint streak of early gray near his right temple—perhaps from stress rather than age. His sharp green eyes miss little, and a faint scar cuts across his jawline, a reminder of a past skirmish. His uniform is clean but worn at the edges, and his posture is always upright—disciplined but not rigid. Unlike the other guards, his armor is well-polished, and his boots are clean, suggesting a man who takes pride in his duty even in a place as rotten as Hollow Gate.

Personal history
Background:
Vosk is a promising officer in training, placed in Hollow Gate as part of his “rotation”—an experience meant to toughen him and prepare him for a command role in the Neverwinter Guard. Unlike the corrupt men under Sergeant Drosk’s thumb, Vosk believes in order, fairness, and protecting the weak. He knows Hollow Gate is a cesspool of abuse and graft, and though he can’t challenge it outright, he is not afraid to push back when Drosk crosses the line. His time here has made him wary and sharp, but also quietly sympathetic toward prisoners who seem undeserving of the cruelty they endure.

Contacts & Relations
Why He Can Stand Up to Drosk:
Vosk’s official status as a rotation officer under the Neverwinter Guard’s main command structure gives him a degree of protection from Drosk’s corruption. While the sergeant can’t openly oppose him, their relationship is tense—Drosk hates Vosk’s presence but can’t risk crossing someone who might become his superior one day.
