Legends in the Stars Above

The stars which twinkle high above the world at night are more than just hot, glowing balls of fiery gas, like some ridiculous scholars would suggest. They are instead an existence that is truly special- They are Root bound to life by legends with souls and personality. Each star in the sky represents a story, the greatest of them being the greatest legends as they are told by those with souls. As stories are born and told upon Folia, so too do the stars appear. Stories related to one another can form constellations to tell a story made from stories, and the greatest of collections of epics can even form galaxies, each star having a tie to one another. In Folia, the greatest of heroes have their names and deeds etched in the heavens, to inspire wonder unto the world below.   Though it is not known why these eternal stories choose to do so, they do sometimes fall to the surface. In their final moments, they are known to grant wishes, choosing worthy wishes based on their own criteria and personalities. Some say that the fall to the surface is the end that these stories choose, to leave one final impact upon the world instead of drifting off into the endless eternity beyond the end of the world. Others say that it is because they fall when they are forgotten in the minds of those below. Only one who could understand the heart of a star could know.   - Note on Star Root: While ordinarily Root would glow a brilliant rainbow of colors, most star root tends towards pure light. This is because most stories lack the definition that primordial darkness embodies, and so their primordial balance tends strongly towards light.
