NovelEmber 2025

So, coming up to November I wasn't entirely sure if I should participate in NovelEmber or not. I will admit that I am not immune to the pull of a shiny badge and I've been on an absolute hot streak lately with my participation in WorldAnvil events so I thought that I should try.

Why I'm Participating

When I was little I used to adore the act of writing, even more than I did drawing, I used to write whole novellas and present them to my nana. My nana worked hard to make sure that I grew up literate and properly equipped to enjoy books and write my own stories, and I loved to share everything I made with her.

I've had this dream of actually writing a book one day that she can read and through this event it finally feels possible. I feel like I can finally write one whole piece that she can read and enjoy, and it's a greatly joyous feeling to even attempt.

My Story

I was scratching my head all August and October trying to wrack my brain for what I should actually write about when the time came. I knew I wanted to write a story within Flora Nouveau but I worried it wasn't cooked enough (that there wasn't enough actual progress into the world to get anywhere with it) and I flip-flopped back and forth on whether I should create the story within Flora Nouveau or my other project, Dreamrealms.
