7. Chamber
Beneath the old tavern lies a hidden chamber, sealed by ironwood and a mosaic of draconic runes. Scholars have deciphered only fragments: “Memory. Binding. Bloom.” Inside, the chamber is perfectly round, the walls lined with preserved petals and melted candlewax. At the center is a dais with a petrified flower, black and bone-white. It pulses faintly when touched. The chamber was perhaps a site of worship or containment. The townspeople feared something here enough to bury it in secrecy. Or perhaps they fed it.
