Summer Camp Prep 2025

Week 1

This week's theme: Nourishment

It took a long time to get over my perfectionism to finally publish Flora Draconis.

Now the creativity has been starved way to long so it’s time to make a pledge and nourish all of your brains with a strange new world.

Week 2

 This week's theme: Roots

Roots of the project.

The Field guide to Floral Dragons was the spark that ignited this project.

Kindling was added in the form of a solarsystem generated with astrosynthesis resulting in a strange constellation of 3 suns with a habitable moon circling a gas giant.

The fire of creativity started to burn.

More flammable material was added by making the world as creative as possible with stereotypes turned upside down and inside out.

Earlier projects

To put it short most didn’t get further then a small fire that burned out due to perfectionism, lack of time or motivation.

Week 3

This week's theme: Metamorphosis

A really good one to think about in Flora Draconis and especially Leann, the first kingdom to be developed.

Having been “out of time” for a century leads to a lot of metamorphosis to adapt to the new era.

 The co-evolution with the floral dragons without outside interference is also a nice feature to develop.

 As always there are factions that are sure that the old days were better.

What the People Expect from the Future

The Common Folk of Leann & Laugavegur

After the shock of emerging from a centuryof stasis, many now long for stability. They dream of reclaiming their rightful place as a spiritual and magical beacon of Dreiorra.

Hopes:

• A peaceful renaissance of Leann, blending old tradition with new wisdom.
• Full restoration of trade with neighboring nations.
• A deeper partnership with floral dragons to stabilize nature and ensure food, protection, and healing.

The Nobles & Preservers

Many matriarchs and high families believe the future must be tightly controlled to avoid disaster. They expect to slowly rebuild the old systems, with themselves in power.

Hopes:

• Re-centralized rule under High Queen Sigrid or her appointed successors.
• A renewed Golden Era with traditional matrilineal inheritance, dragon oaths, and god-blessed governance.
• A return of stable magical hierarchies and careful religious doctrine.

This is their wish, but as always there are higher powers with their own agenda.

 More practical is the plan to use the days that I have “child watch” duty as writing time. Meaning every Tuesday evening and 2-3 Saturday evenings.
