Desert-Side

Location

Desert-Side region lies in the west of Main Å+*4~ and spans all the way from the Cliffs in the north to Dry Ocean region in the south. On the east it borders on North Ocean-Side, Mid-North and Mid-South and on the west, across Long River lies Desert

Climate

Climate here is pretty hot and dry, though being right next to Long River helps a lot. It's a lot more dry than North Ocean-Side and Dry Ocean, but a lot better than Desert itself. Rainy season is the only time when rain is guaranteed, but don't expect any during the summer

The suns present here are the yellow sun and orange sun. Orange sun especially makes this region more hot than it could have been.

Nature

This region might seem hot and dry, but I promise it's not that bad. There's actually quite a few plants and animals that can be found here and there's a good mix of Desert critters and plants and animals that can be commonly found in the rest of Main Å+*4~. Most of all expect scorpions, sand snakes, and various cactus species, but also green areas with palms and trees and kakadus.

Towns & People

Towns

Most towns here are pretty average to what you'd find in Main Å+*4~, but many towns right by Long River are similar to the ones in Desert. You absolutely will find some underground settlemets, or at least some underground locations in otherwise above ground settlements.

People

People here are pretty normal. You'll find mostly mole people and some fairies, though it is rummored that bat people that usually live in the desert can be found here. Still, no one is really convinced that there even is such thing as bat people.

Anyway, the people here, as already said, are very normal, not like those underground-dweeling weirdoes of Desert. I mean, pople here can live underground as well, but having a whole land of people that live underground can't be good for their mental state. No wonder they claim they have bat people living there.

Resources

Though Main Å+*4~ isn't exactly known for agriculture, this region is the one that actually has quite a lot of rural areas. They are very special of being the one region focusing on cattle farming and producing real actual cow milk, not that dainty plan milk that they export fron Fairy Gardens (though FG also definitely have cows and cow milk, there's nothing they don't have there). But, one thing Desert-Side region has that Fairy Gardens don't, are those underground settlments perfect for mining precious rocks or rock salt. And other stuff, surely, but leave the less fancy stuff to the people of Desert.
