Mirrorworld
A pocket, parrellel dimension created by Farouk the Rebellious through siphoning the power of his wife Kerensa the Rebellious.

Once shattered, the pieces of the mirrorworld were drawn back to earth. Every piece, called mirrorshards, retained the full potency of the perverted magic used to create it. Mirrorshards infected mostly those decieved or manipulated to accept them by altering their perception of the world. Shards can be used to work magic. The most evil, perverted magic users will be certain to have mirrorshards in their spells.
Mirrorshards can be removed from a person by their own willpower and desire to change but the process is exceedingly painful and many do not wish to go through the discomfort. They can also be exorcized by beseeching Alabaster for help.

Used to hold Hanya the Strong prisoner and siphon magic from Flamesend. It it eventually destroyed through the actions of Henry Ackers in the Portal Report Series.
With the abundance of dangerous mirrorshards acting as wild cards among magic uses, the role of shardhunter was created by Queen Nathaini at the end of the Portal Report Series. Among the first shardhunters were Henry Ackers and his wife Mog, and the dimension-bending Lee Sutton with his magic companion Jasper.
