Nuclear Weapons
TACTICAL WEAPONS (1-50kt yield)
- Atomic Artillery - 1 - 20 KT Yield - Do you absolutely despise your enemy? Do you want to escalate to a disgustingly high rung on the escalation ladder? Then fire off a nuclear shell and watch as you instantly vaporize the entire enemy army! Of course, you will immediately face the consequences of your actions in the form of 250mm nuclear counterbattery fire. Fun for nobody. Except the cockroaches.
- LYAASCM (Low-Yield Atomic Anti-Spacecraft Missile) - 1 - 10 KT yield - Fielded by the warships of the stars in vast numbers, LYAASCMs are designed to overwhelm and penetrate enemy defenses in swarms. Many different variations of them exist, some having frontal armor or independently targeted splitting warhead capability, etc. They are either mounted with a traditional nuclear warhead or a casaba howitzer. Some of the newest and most expensive models have an atomic fizzer booster stage, and are therefore almost impossible to dodge or intercept.
- Atomic Cruise Missiles - 5 to 50 KT Yield - Fielded by all manner of combatants, from aircraft to warships and submarines, atomic cruise missiles are often the first step on the escalation ladder. Many have adjustable yield to account for mission parameters, though detonating a 5 kt nuke and a 50 kt one won't change an enemy retaliation much. ACMs have the potential to wipe out convoys and fleets with a single shot, which is exactly why they are used so sparingly in a conventional war. The enemies potential nuclear counterattack is often more terrifying than meeting that convoy you nuked.
- Nuclear Torpedoes - 5 - 20 KT Yield - Used similarly to atomic cruise missiles, nuclear torpedoes will wipe out an entire fleet in a single shot. When they are used, they are often deployed in large numbers against enemy formations to ensure no retaliatory strike can occur.
STRATEGIC WEAPONS (100kt-25mt yield)
- Translunar Ballistic Missile (TLBM) - 500kt MIRV - 25mt - TLBMs are the primary means of thermonuclear war between moons such as Cerulea and Anrayal, able to be mounted with a wide variety of payloads. From sophisticated MIRV designs carrying up to 12 mid-yield warheads to powerful multi-megatonne payloads, most TLBMs can sling it all.
- HYAASCM (High-Yield Atomic Anti-Spacecraft Missile) - 100kt - 10 MT yield -
- Irradiator Cruise Missiles -
- Strategic Heavy Gravity Bomb - (gravity bomb means freefall bomb not actual black hole bomb)
GRAND STRATEGIC WEAPONS, EXTINCTION ENGINES (25mt+ yield)
- High-Yield Salted Bomb - 10-50 MT - Designed to cause ***extreme*** fallout, salted bombs are the weapons of spite and animosity. A high-yield salted bomb isn't just a weapon of mass destruction, it's a portable planetary catastrophe.
- Pure Fusion Weapon - 50 Megatonnes to 1 Gigaton - Does lobbing an asteroid at your adversary's planet take too long? Do you need express genocide? Look no further than the highly advanced gigaton-yield pure fusion weapon! A single detonation will cause total economic, technological, ecological, and societal collapse. Guaranteed your money back if returned within 30 days.
