CM-610 Thunderbird VLS-Launched Heavy Cruise Missile

archived because having subsonic cruising wings and also a ramjet intake is kind of dumb. Going to split this into a brahmos style missile with the ram intake and a tomahawk style one with wings.

The Thunderbird is a heavy cruise missile designed to be launched from naval or land based VLS launchers, able to attack both land and sea targets. After launch, four rocket motors propel the missile to high speed before the primary engine is engaged and a set of wings is unfolded, allowing for long range cruising. Newly-introduced technology allows a swarm of Thunderbirds to spread out and synchronize their attacks with each other. Upon nearing their target, the missile will accelerate to supersonic speeds to evade enemy air defense. Its shock cone intake is most effective here, and its wings will partially retract to reduce drag. The CM-610 is also capable of carrying either a conventional or nuclear payload of large size.
