Sanctuary in the Mist

Seiiki No Naka Ni Burame (Sanctuary in the Mist)

A sanctum dedicated to teaching various styles of self defense, philosophy and various theologies. It is Located in a small valley between three peaks in the Crystal Mountains. This valley betwixt the trio of peaks is located in the southeastern most ridges. While not the highest peaks of the Giants Run Mountain Range this section is exceptionally rugged, wild and mysterious. It is these peaks that give this mountain range the secondary name of the Crystal Mountains. They often gleam under the sunlight or even the light of the three full moons. During the winters a nearly constant mist shrouds the peaks. The only way to reach the sanctum is by the Menimienai Tōrimichi (Invisible Trail). The Trail starts in the Ranzin forest under the cover of the massive trees. The Invisible trail winds its way through the mountain past many dangers and several markers culminating at the Crystal Gate.

The Crystal gate consists of massive quartz crystal pillars that have been enchanted to protect the valley. The only way to enter the valley is to pass through this gate. Once past the gate a well groomed trail leads to a simple yet elegant building built into the granite side of the mountain. This building was originally established in the year 08 AF. Starting as a tiny stacked stone building. The nine original monks found this valley and the giant crystal columns and knew this was the place calling them. After the first building was established new buildings were planned and protections became necessary due to monster attacks. The Shīrudo No monodearu Te o akete kudasai (Shield of the Open Palm) was established the following year 09 to hide and protect the valley and sanctuary.   The Nine monks studied in peace, solitude and solidarity. The current masters are Master Renn, Master Jodanaka, Master Jengar Al De Jann, Mistress Wippall, Mistress Ember, Master Qo, Master Vincetti, Master Quinn. The original masters founded the sanctuary to practice the teachings of Butoh, a Tetsu religion. Its tenants are peace, harmony, balance and serenity through dance, katas, agriculture both plants and animals. Rice, duck, goose, trout and unagi (fresh water eel).   The Katas and styles are named after the constellations and are revered as the children of the gods. The Sun, Moons and rings are the primary gods. The Wind, Mountains, oceans, river, lakes, rain, lightning, thunder and fire are the secondary gods.
