Ruins of Amphere

The ruins of the ancient Atlantean city of Amphere rest in the southern half of the Ranzin forest

  Located A full three weeks of deep The Ranzin Forest travel in a south southeast azimuth. Discovered by adventurers in 1181 and an expedition sponsored by The Paragon Athenaeum Magnum in 1182, lead by Professor H.P. Pennymount a human archeologist and his halfling assistant Theora Appleberry a cartographer. The ruins consist mostly of a large pyramid and some other various ruins. To date only one expedition has been undertaken and further studies are already in the works. Several artifacts have been recovered and once studied will be on display in the Paragon Athenaeum Magnum in the next few years. Miss Appleberry will be releasing a map of the studied sight to the kingdom of Tower Rock by the end of the year. The pyramid is rumored to have a vast complex underneath it that has not been fully explored. One group of adventurers that was hired and sanctioned by Professor Pennymount did an initial exploration of the caverns below. Artifacts rumored to be discovered are a crystal skull, a large golden disc and a stored supply of liquid mercury in a copper sphere. pottery and other items like jewelry were found as well.
