Ravens Crest

Ravens Crest – Perhaps the biggest location on the NE trail is this town. A well-fortified home built of hewn stone from the iron mines is located here. This home is more or less the center of town as it is the Raven Crest Vineyard. A large vineyard dominates the hillside and the village rests down in the small shallow valley. The folk at the village help work the vineyard and winery as well as other farms and a small deer ranch. A small eight room inn is part of the winery. A lushly decorated tavern serves Ravens Crest wine and a local dark beer called Rooks Brew. Each of the regulars has their own named flagon—each with a flip up lid to keep out flies, dust and suchlike. Some are ornate works of art passed down through the generations. Travelers must make do with an array of cheap normal flagons. Lunch is served as handpies and dinner is always a fine meat pie with fresh vegetables. A pair of druids, husband and wife, work a small farm year round here in this village as well as keeping the tavern and village well stocked with fresh vegetables through the winter. The Rook Family owns the vineyard and many of the business here. The mayor is Jasp Rook IV. A family of druids of old and advisors to the king now running a vineyard and winery. A few other smaller vineyards are here crafting other small batch wines or work their own vineyards in coordination with the Rook Vineyard.
