Kingdom of Tower Rock
Tower Rock
This kingdom has its northern borders in the Alpilain Mountains with its southern boarders at the Ranzin forest and from the east at the coast of the Firespine straights to an agreed upon border in the western prairie. The Kingdom of Tower Rock is a collection of other cities and towns with a population of around 200,000 during the Steel Age. Most areas outside the walls of a town or immediate area of a village are unsafe due to monster activity like orc‘s, goblin’s, ogre’s and others. The nearest Kingdom is Ft Paladine; it is to the north and is a reluctant trade partner due to strained relations among the two populations. The other major developed country is the oldest, the Empire of Epirus and it is a trade partner but a reluctant ally. The barbarian hoards that live in the wilds around Tower Rock are becoming friendlier due to the increased orc and goblin populations. The Southern Highlanders and the Plainsmen have even made peace with the statesmen and have integrated into their society over the last 25 to 30 years. The citizenry of Tower Rock are mostly “woodsmen” of have a basic knowledge of survival in the wilderness. This is due to close relations with nature during the early years when druids ruled or led the tribes of man. The orc and goblin clans war with each other often so that keeps them out of too much raiding on Tower Rock. New towns and villages have sprung up around the valley as well as new military out posts. Tower Rock has the largest industries of all the city states but keeps a strong balance through high activity with maintenance of the environment. Druids are a driving force for the balance and have strong roots in the society in Tower Rock.
The Kingdom of Tower rock is its own but is made up of individual city-states. Over the centuries each city-state or tiny kingdom was absorbed through war, economics, politics or outright need of protection. While all of the major cities are geographically close to one another they have become a single kingdom under the Hawk Royal Family. The Highlanders as well as some of the Plainsmen have assimilated into the society of the kingdom. The populace as a whole is very consolidated and loyal recognizing itself as a major player if not the superpower of the continent. This has been the true melting pot of cultures creating its own unique culture. Noble families hail from human, halfling and barbarian alike.
