Frostland

Frostland is dominated by ogres and trolls (an advanced breed of ogre) the same way Ferrum is dominated by goblins and orcs. Due to the massive glacial ice as well as frozen ice bays on the oceans monsters do not get as populated. As a result larger more violent monsters dominate. Lesser forms of giants this offshoot has evolved into two distinct but related brutes, ogres and trolls. The general population of humans has evolved as well. The Jotunn are something in the middle of the giants and humans. They are true half-giants much larger, stronger and have some resistance to cold. Everything in the north, Frostland, has some form of resistance to cold. Some scholars have even said the cold has very low levels of “evil ice” spread over the entire continent resulting in the development of this resistance to cold. This is not able to be proven, nor disproven, some evidence exists for both arguments. The coastal waters are home to a form of reptilian called a troglodyte. They prefer deep cold coastal fjords with dark water. Giants seem to be the base block of life here on the northern continent. Ogres and trolls are the oldest offshoot followed most recently by the Jotunn, a human giant hybrid. Humans can and do live here as well as halflings. Most creation myths have the frost giants as the seed of the gods for humanity and all other races on the continent.
