Bards Theater
This tiny village is located in a bend in the river. Natural pillars outline a gorge helping to create a small amphitheater. Over a dozen major pillars stand here with another twenty four smaller pillars peppered in the area. The river flows slowly here and is rather quiet and allows bards to put on plays with little stage building. Several homes are located here and some are rented out to performing bards for the season while working. Three inns with many small rooms, none less than twelve each support those who travel to see a particular show performed here. A few small farms dot the area and a tavern with a large brewery is located here. They brew a fine pilsner in the summer and a hearty dark beer in the winter. A small Bards College of the Performing Arts resides here as well. Artists, poets, actors and singers are always passing through to either teach, learn or improve talents.
• The Second Stage Inn and Tavern (stage made for plays and a small accompanying musicians. The largest of the inns with 18 rooms)
• Quintessential Strings a low ceiling tavern with rooms upstairs. Low key atmosphere and quiet music. This tavern is rather popular becaue this is where the statuette of Belladonna was discovered behind a basement wall.
• Macabre’s tavern and Inn (this is a large tavern with 2 stories and is known for late night parties that go until the sun rises. Its connected to the Brewery. Macobre's is a place where those who like the darker side of life. It has a dark and Gothic atmosphere here. Everything is black, deep purple and red. This is always where the parties are after a performance at the amphitheater.
The Dominant building here is the beautiful Foxgrove Collage. This collage covers all forms of learning from music and literature to acting and painting and everything involving the arts. The University Headmistress one Harmony Foxgrove, a decedent of the founder. She acts as a mayor of Lady of the Town. Her staff runs the school and her military attache helps keep order. She keeps a good relationship with her political and royal contacts in Millers Crossing. The Architecture of this building is no less spectacular than a palace in the Empire of Epirus or the Capitol Tower Rock. Marble pillars and beautifully carved and sculpted granite dominate the outside features. The grounds are second only to the kings royal palace in Tower Rock with highly artistic druids maintaining topiaries, botanical gardens and greenhouses.
The 3rd Squadron (Black Quills) of the 4th Regiment and IV Division is headquartered here. LTC Bartholomew Cromwell is the commander and is Headmistress Foxgrove’s military attache. Wile only two troops are stationed here the 3rd and 4th troop the rest of his squadron rotates through training. Thie Barracks here are not typical and are highly decorative in addition to being a functional military outpost with definsive capabilities.
Famously the Statuette of Belladonna was discovered here in the basement of Quintessential Strings in 1171. This occurance started the new resurgance of the "dead gods" with the establishment of The New Church of Belladonna. One Wyllys Gates found it.
