Slime

The Slime race are a diverse and fascinating group, each representing a different color of the spectrum. Despite their varied abilities and appearances, they all share a common origin. Legends speak of an ancient primordial slime, infused with the essence of the Chromatic Decree, that split into countless fragments, each embodying a different hue.   Slimes are amorphous beings, capable of adapting to their surroundings and absorbing the qualities of the organic matter they consume. They possess an insatiable appetite for flesh and have developed unique abilities based on the energies and elements associated with their respective colours.   The variants of Slimes are unique, each embodying a different colour of the spectrum. While their overall forms remain similar, their hues and textures vary greatly, reflecting their respective attributes:   Red Slimes possess a fiery crimson coloration, with their gelatinous bodies flickering as if engulfed in flames. Small sparks and embers dance within their translucent forms, lending them an aura of intensity and aggression.   Orange Slimes exude a warm and vibrant glow. Their semi-transparent bodies shimmer with hues of orange and gold, reminiscent of a setting sun. Tiny motes of light swirl within them, resembling flecks of fire or glowing embers.   Yellow Slimes radiate a brilliant luminosity. Their gelatinous forms emit a soft, radiant glow akin to sunlight. Their translucent bodies are suffused with a sunny yellow hue, seemingly infused with the warmth and vitality of a summer's day.   Green Slimes possess a deep and rich emerald shade. Their semi-transparent forms are flecked with hues of moss and vibrant foliage, as if they embody the very essence of verdant forests. They seem to ripple and sway like thick vegetation in a gentle breeze.   Blue Slimes glisten with an icy coolness. Their bodies appear translucent, reflecting shades of cerulean and sapphire. Faint traces of frost form on their surfaces, giving them an ethereal and chilling presence.   Indigo Slimes emit a mysterious and otherworldly glow. Their bodies display a translucent indigo hue, reminiscent of the ethereal plane. Faint trails of shimmering stardust seem to swirl within them, as if they are connected to the twilight.   Violet Slimes exude an enigmatic aura. Their semi-transparent bodies exhibit a deep, regal purple shade, shimmering with hints of amethyst. They seem to emanate an ghostly mist, giving them an almost spectral quality.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Size: Slimes come in various sizes, but most are Small or Medium.   Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.   Amorphous Form: Due to your gelatinous nature, you can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing. Additionally, you have advantage on saving throws against being grappled or restrained.   Corrosive Touch: As an action, you can make a melee spell attack against a creature within your reach. On a hit, the target takes 1d6 acid damage. This damage increases to 2d6 at 5th level, 3d6 at 11th level, and 4d6 at 17th level. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1), and you regain all expended uses after finishing a long rest. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for this feature.   Regeneration: At the start of your turn in combat, you regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier if you have no more than half of your hit points left. You don't gain this benefit if you have 0 hit points.   Cannibalistic Appetite: You have proficiency in the Survival skill, and you can forage for sustenance by consuming organic material. Whenever you consume a creature or an organic object of a size category equal to or larger than yours, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level + your Constitution modifier.   Slime Absorption: As a Slime, you have the ability to absorb the essence of fallen creatures. After a creature dies within 10 feet of you, you can use your reaction to absorb its essence. When you do so, you gain a vague sense of the creature's recent memories.
