Mothphasus
Monster or Human (Your choice)
Mothphasus is a moth-themed race, they either take on a more human-looking appearance with moth features or a full monster-looking moth. They tend to live in cave environments or places that lack any form of the sun, this is due to the fact that excessive light to a Mothpahasus will dramatically reduce their lifespan. Monster variants have an exoskeleton that is as hard as steel while the human versions have what seems to be an artificial* moon within their eyes.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Size: Medium or Small
Speed: 30ft walk speed, a fly speed equal to walking speed.
The Attraction of Light: You know and can cast the Light & Dancing Lights cantrip. At 3rd level, you can cast the Daylight spell once per long rest. At the 5th level, you can cast Moonbeam, once per long rest. These spells use either your WIS/CHA/INT mod, chosen upon selecting this race.
Fall of the Dawn: Once per long rest, you can choose a creature within 15ft of you. They gain temp hp equal to your character level, if all the temp hp is lost you gain another use of your Attraction of Light spells & heal equal to twice your current level.
Exoskeleton (Monster Only): You gain natural armor when not wearing armor, you still gain the benefits of a shield. You calculate the AC as 13+DEX+CON. You also choose one element from the elemental adept feat and gain resistance to that damage type, this will determine the color of your exoskeleton.
Luna Eyes (Humanoid Only): You gain blindsight of 30ft and gain prof in the perception skill but you lose your other sights.
Monstrous Evolution:
Mothphasus evolve when they hibernate for a certain amount of time. They gain new options after every 3 long rests.

Lifespan
Mothphasus reach maturity at 20 and live till 50, their body explodes into spores that infect other creatures. Their lifespan is drastically reduced within excessive light.
