Eel-folk
Eels originate from magical currents within the Underdeeps trenches, their kind is never welcome within the noble city due to their harmful nature. They gain their power from a mysterious energy called "The Hidden Currents", which are said to connect to realms of Elemental Plane of Storms. An elder eel is usually revered within the trenches as a creature of prophecy, believed to foretell shifts in tides and storms.
Their appearance is either dark green or purple skinned with large slimy tails that produce lightning, while outside the water their eel-like underbody instead forms into a long eel tail that can coil around their body as an external organ that protects them from harm.
