Concubus
"To hunger is to live; to feel is to feed."
The Concubus are beings born from the lower planes; most commonly from the Hellish Plane of Emotion or the Fire Plane. They are entities that sustain themselves on the essence of living souls, feeding not on flesh or carnal acts, but on the vital energies that surge from powerful emotions. Passion, joy, grief, rage, and even despair can nourish a Concubus, each flavor of emotion altering their aura and strength.
While ancient tales still speak of them as creatures of seduction, modern scholars now understand their nature as far more intricate. Their hunger is not inherently lustful as it is more leaning towards empathetic predation, drawing from the tides of feeling that mortals naturally release.
A Concubus can survive on trace emotional energy for weeks, but to truly empower themselves, they must share in or witness moments of intense feeling. Blood or other bodily essences serve only as a physical vessel for soul energy, and so some Concubi still partake of such offerings in ritual-like fashion.
A Concubus can have no fixed form. Instead, their appearance is shaped by the minds of those who perceive them. Even when disguised among mortals, a faint crown of ethereal light and glowing insect-like wings form from their back revealing their true nature if viewed with truesight.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Size: Medium or Small
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and you have a fly speed equal to your walking speed
Creature Type: You are a Fiend
Ethereal Form: Your true body is composed of shifting emotion and infernal illusion. As an action, you can alter your appearance magically to any humanoid form you have seen before. This transformation lasts until you choose to revert (no concentration required). This change doesn’t alter your size or equipment.
Empathic Understanding: You gain proficiency in Deception and Persuasion. When you make an ability check involving reading or influencing emotion, you can add double your proficiency bonus instead.
Soul-Touched Nature: You do not need to eat, drink, or sleep. Instead, you must absorb the soul essence of another sentient creature as a one hour ritual once every 7 days. Failing to do so causes you to gain one level of exhaustion each day until you feed again.

Each grants you a unique ability; Domineering Concubus You feed on control, leadership, and dominance. You can cast Command once per long rest. Use Wisdom, Charisma, or Intelligence as your spellcasting ability for this spell (choose when you gain this trait). Charming Concubus You feed on affection, fascination, and trust. You can cast Charm Person once per long rest. Use Wisdom, Charisma, or Intelligence as your spellcasting ability (choose when you gain this trait). Wistful Concubus You feed on serenity, dreams, and the quiet of a calm heart. You can cast Sleep once per long rest. Use Wisdom, Charisma, or Intelligence as your spellcasting ability (choose when you gain this trait).

Lifespan
Concubi mature at around 100 years of age, though their development is more spiritual than physical. They do not die of old age; instead, their true form gradually changes as their soul deepens and accumulates emotion, as they gain more wings.
Average Height
Concubi tend to be lithe and elegant, standing between 5 and 6 feet tall however their height may vary depending on the observers.
