Chimera
The Chimeras trace their origins to a secretive experiment conducted by the Simic Hybrids, where humanoids were magically imbued with the essence of diverse creatures. In a twist of fate, exposure to potent fae magic catalysed an unforeseen evolution, birthing a distinct race with humanoid, feline, and serpentine attributes—the Chimeras. Gradually breaking free from the Simics control, Chimeras embraced their newfound autonomy, forging a culture shaped by the ancient wisdom whispered by their serpent tails.
Chimeras possess a blend of physical features that seamlessly merge human, feline, and serpent characteristics. Their humanoid appearance is the most dominant, with facial features that resemble those of humans, adorned with cat-like ears and eyes. The lower half of their bodies diverges into powerful goat legs. These limbs end in cloven hooves. A Chimera's most distinctive feature is the long, snake tail that extends from the base of their spine. The tail has its own sentience, providing counsel through cryptic answers. When a Chimera undergoes the Ancient Transformation, their skin takes on a scaly texture, reminiscent of serpentine armour. During this state, the feline features, such as cat ears, seamlessly give way to a sleek and elegant cat tail.
