The Bright Lord

On a winter night, when darkness blankets the sky, a small flash of light emerges, bringing with it a new star that ignites the heavens. This celestial arrival coincides with joyous celebrations, marked by ceremonial rituals and lively festivities that echo from the largest cities to the humblest villages across the republic of Coalfell. These celebrations are generously funded by the coffers of Circle of Peace and the Order of Faith, a collective effort to share the people's wealth and foster the dream of a united and prosperous realm. As the festivities unfold, the new star begins to grow, casting its brilliance upon the night sky until it becomes one of the most radiant beacons. Its expanding light gradually envelops surrounding stars, sparking fervent speculation among the people. Some proclaim it as a benevolent deity newly formed, while others dread it as a foreboding comet hurtling toward the realm of Ferillia.       As the festivities goes on the new start slowly begins to grow bigger and bigger and soon it's one of the brightest star in the sky,
and as it starts to cover more and more stars around it with it's light people will start to proclaim that it is a new deity that has formed, while others will claim that is far worse and more threatening, a comet, headed right towards Ferillia.

It's said that those who follow and serve the Bright Lord shall receive his blessings and gain both power, wealth and knowledge far beyond their wildest imaginations.
Those who stand in his way and oppose him shall meet a fate far worse than death and their souls will be tortured and consumed as their bodies become enslaved to serve his champions.

The Legend of the Bright Lord:         Legend has it that those who choose to follow and serve the Bright Lord shall be bestowed with blessings beyond imagination—power, wealth, and knowledge that transcend mortal limits. Conversely, those who stand against this celestial force shall face a fate more harrowing than death. Their souls are said to be tormented and consumed, their bodies enslaved to serve the champions of the Bright Lord.

In Art

In Art: A painting from the waning days of Glumgate depicts a Tanuki warrior engaged in a fierce battle against a zombified giant wielding a massive iron mace. In the background, the large bright star gleams, casting an ethereal glow upon the scene. The tiny warrior, casting spells, receives cover fire from one of the many watchtowers—a poignant portrayal of the juxtaposition of beauty and peril in the face of impending doom.   The Legend of the Bright Lord weaves a tapestry of celestial wonder, mysticism, and the dichotomy of salvation and doom. Its influence echoes in the artistic expressions of Coalfell, capturing the imaginations of those who ponder the celestial events that unfold in the night sky.
