Sol-Arinate

Sol-Arinate, the heart of Felth's lands and the hottest continent, this merciless desert is equal parts endless sand and imperceptibly deep water-filled canyon. it is the homeland of the Marsupial race Sirysies who excavate their cities from cliff faces and string their settlements across the great canyon's divide. This swathe of orange and mahogany hued earth, sand and stone is broken only by exposed opal deposits and small outcrops of hibernating plant-life and cacti built to withstand the dryer months. Barely more than a wasteland its scorching heats and blistering sandstorms bare trouble for even the hardiest of desert folk, yet by early Oronai runoff from neighboring highland continents transforms Sol-Arinate into a tepid, lively marshland. A fertile environment revitalized by stagnant spores and seedlings waiting out the heat. This boom of fungal growth sets off the largest migration on Felth, where both prey and predator come to feast and breed enmasse until late Alorne, when the short lived plant-life begins to crumble in the increasingly harsh sun.
