Eugen I
Eugen I von Sigisland (-212 RC - -147 RC) was the first Archchancellor of Sigisland and the second Archking of Sigisland, the founder of the House of Liswerburg-Otterlon.
History
Eugen I was the personal adjutant to Archking Ferdinand I. He was elected heir-presumptive to the childless Archking in 10 (CC), formalized by the Succession Act.
Anti-Eugenite Rebellion
Four southern provinces of the Archkingdom of Sigisland rose up in 17 (CC) in the Anti-Eugenite Rebellion, which was brutally put down.
Assasination attempt and the fate of Glahald
On the 16th of May of the 21st Congress year, in Glahald municipality of the city of Kelenburg, an assasination attempt against the person of Archking Eugene was carried by conspirators - southern supporters of the suppressed anti-Eugene rebellion in cooperation with several northern noble families who opposed further centralization of the country. The conspirators blocked the Candle Quay while the Archroyal carriage was passed, and fired gunshots from the windows of apartments they previously rented. However, the Archking Eugen survived. When Archking Ferdinand II restaurated the city of Kelenburg, he ordered that Glahald should remain in ruins, as a punishment for that municipality being the place of the attempted regicide.
