Albert Urpen
Albert Urpen is a Guntrelandian politician and journalist, one of the most prominent members of the Club of the Friends of Individual Liberty and the editor of the Masdenist newspaper "The Liberator." A gifted writer and and the leading popular voice of liberal theory, he is Alfred Masden's right-hand man.
Personal life
Urpen is the son of a rich shopkeeper accused by Hrebsists of hoarding and raising prices in order to exploit widespread hunger and a famine-like situation during the blockade of the Republic. Characteristic for his pretty looks, in spite of recognisable acnes, Urpen is engaged to Margareta Rau, a Masdenist society figure descended from a wealthy industrialist family.
