Felrune: Mages and Warfare, a story of trenches and muskets against the undead
Alright, I am turning this test into my campaign for my world, Felrune. Felrune is a world where empires linger, Technology and Magic are both beginning to rise, and the crucible of war might force a new industrial revolution with magi-tech. It is also a world destined to die. You will be playing as people who are sandwiched between 2 evils. The first in the south is the Aelnguin Imperium. The empire of "High" Elves who rule with an Ironfist, a desire to genicide non-elves, the enslavement of half elves and the other elven kin not pure enough in there eyes. Their Imperatrix is always that who is the most magically gifted of there bloodline. Each noble family trying to produce the best, pure, heir for the Imperatrix. Ruled by blood and sorcery. To the north lies the Army of the Undead, who seem to be heading south to conquer the Aelnguin Imperium for some unknown means. The lands in the middle caught between a immovable boulder and an unstoppable force is where you are from. Lands of different peoples ideologies and ways of life banded together to put up a united front to at least survive another night, hoping the dead will finally leave. To be a soldier in these times is to fight in muddy trenches, freeze in cold winter months, and hope that, in spite of the meatgrinder that is the front, the 2nd Alliance can build better fortifications to retreat to. You will have an active effect on the world, and your failures and successes will have a direct impact on the events of the world and whether or not the alliance can actually fend off the invasion.
