Felagi (Feh-la-gee)

Born of revolution, the Felagi are the newest contender on Fel Drogo.

The Felagi call the frozen wastes of Praellheim their homeland once again, yet many can still be found throughout Fel Drogo. While they stand tall and rival bears in strength, only a few generations before they were considered lesser men forgotten by the Dragon for lacking Niematyn. Tricked by a false goddess, the Chainmaiden, into unknowingly relinquishing the power of their Niematyn they were enslaved by the rest of Fel Drogo until their hero-god Hrolfi liberated them in the Praellic Revolution. Afterwards, he would apotheosize to godhood and endlessly chase the last remnants of the Chainmaiden, while his people were left liberated yet lost to a world that they had never be given the opportunity to experience. Now they arise from the ashes of the Praell to take hold of all that Fel Drogo had denied them and discover what their newly recovered Niematyn shall be.

Common Dress code

As a result of the weather it is too be expected that the Felagi dress in a wide variety of furs and skins to fend of the cold. One cannot expect to survive more than an hour in Praellheim without the proper clothing to keep you warm, and more importantly alive. However, outsiders may not know that the Felagi don't wear jewelry. Out of respect for the ancestors who wore shackles on their ankles and chains on their necks the Felagi abstain from jewelry as it bears a large similarity.

Common Taboos

The greatest taboo to any Felagi is to call them a Praell, especially if you're an outsider who knows none of the history behind it (a.k.a yours truly). The word translates to slave, and originates from the not so distant time where the Felagi were used as slaves by the rest of Fel Drago. The word symbolises the hell their ancestors lived through, and those same ancestors fought hard to free their descendants. Nowadays, the word Praell is rarely used by even the Felagi, as to do so is to hurl the gravest of insults. So, unless you are a inconsiderate piece of filth or truly want the fist of a Felagi to be the last thing you see before you pass; refrain from using the word Praell.

Common Myths and Legends

The Chainmainden

All young Felagi are taught of the Chainmaiden, spirit of the enslaved and guardian of the Felagi. At first glance you'd think she's a goddess but she's more like a manifestation. It's believed that she was formed from the collective despair of the Felagi during their time in slavery, which explains why she's so into the chain thing. The Felagi do not worship her, simply acknowledge her power and appease her at times. In truth her existence is dependant on whether or not the Felagi believe that they are being chained down, so once she saw that the physical chains disappeared she created her own magic ones. These are known as the Praellic Chains, each time they are broken the user is granted a portion of the Chainmaiden's powers. Stroga Djofullson is the only person to unlock full access to the Chainmaiden's power.
