The following is a list of gimmicks available to the Parmularius subclass. You may choose any of the following when you learn new gimmicks as you level.
Gimmicks
All Eyes on Me: When you use your Call to Glory feature, you may instead choose to target a specific creature instead of all creatures in a 30ft radius. When you use your Call to Glory in this way, you expend a glory die and add the number rolled to your Call of Glory save DC.
Bamboozle: When you miss a weapon attack, you may expend a glory die to send a thrusting uppercut with your buckler into your opponent's unprepared face. The attack functions identically to your shield bash, but only deals damage equal to the number rolled on your glory die. An opponent that has been successfully bamboozled must make a constitution saving throw or become blinded until the end of your next turn.
Break It Up: When you make use of your Great Defender feature, you may expend a glory die and add the glory die to the additional AC granted to your ally.
Cheap Shot: When you land a weapon attack on your turn, you may expend one glory die and add the number rolled on the die to your damage roll. A cheap shot leaves a target winded and open to assault. The next attack made by an attacker other than you has advantage if they are made before the start of your next turn.
Clothesline: When you hit a creature with your shield bash, you can expend one glory die to send it to the ground with a mighty swing of your arm. If the target is Large or smaller, it must make a strength saving throw. On a failed save, you knock the target prone.
Fan Favorite: When you make a Charisma (Performance), a Charisma (Persuasion) check, or Charisma (Intimidation) check, you can expend one glory die and add the glory die to the ability check.
Heel’s Strike: The best opponent is a defenseless opponent. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can expend one glory die to attempt to disarm the target, forcing it to drop one item of your choice it is holding. You add the glory die to the attack’s damage roll, and the target must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, it drops the object you choose. The object lands at the opponent's feet.
Open Up: When you land a shield bash against a target, you may expend one glory die and add it to the attack’s damage roll. Additionally, you have advantage on your next Follow-Up attack.
Play Possum: When a creature strikes you with a melee attack, you may use your reaction to expend a glory die to feign a serious reaction to the damage. You reduce damage taken equal to the number rolled on the glory die + your level in this class. Additionally, the target must make a wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target lowers its guard as it sees you as less of a threat. Your next attack roll has advantage against the target.
Rally: On your turn, you can use a bonus action and expend one superiority die to bolster the resolve of one of your companions. When you do so, choose a friendly creature who can see or hear you. That creature gains temporary hit points equal to the superiority die roll + your Charisma modifier.
Run-In: When striking a creature that is within 5 feet of a friendly creature with a melee attack. You may expend one glory die to have advantage on the attack roll. If you hit, you add your glory die to the attack’s damage roll.
Skewer: When another creature misses a melee attack against you, you may expend one of your glory dice to make a weapon attack. If you hit, you may add your glory die to the attack’s damage roll and the target must make a constitution saving throw. On a failed save the target takes damage equal to an additional roll of your glory die.
Below the Belt: When you make a shield bash against a creature you may expend a glory die to perform an underhanded assault against a creature’s weaker areas, the number rolled on the glory die is added to the damage of your shield bash. Additionally, a creature attacked in this way must make a constitution saving throw or be incapacitated until the end of your next turn.
Catch!: When you are hit with a ranged weapon attack, you may expend a glory die to reduce the damage. The damage reduced is equal to the number rolled on the glory die + your Bastion level. If you reduce the damage of the attack to 0, you deflect the attack with your buckler entirely.
