In 2020 I was beginning my final year at university, and part of my final project for the year was to concept a game idea and creating pieces of art related to that project idea, and around what you wanted to do after University once in Industry. I've always loved sci-fi, from Star Wars to Destiny, so a sci-fi project was a no brainer. I also chose sci-fi over fantasy because I was already creating a lot of designs and concepts for my portfolios around fantasy from my DnD world, Oxdara. The original project was to concept 4 characters and 4 weapons, creating turn sheets, concept ideas and final illustrations, namely around NPCs rather than a main character, as I thought everyone would be thinking about main character designs, and not many think about NPCs. I think my DnD experience helped here, as I was making NPCs a lot rather than main characters/player characters. So I created Fatesight, the original game concept was an open world video game, with the traditional RPG exploration of Skyrim and Fallout, but with the collabrative nature of Destiny and Borderlands.
