The Old City

Pottersteel's Old City is a maze of tunnels and caverns beneath the city's modern streets, originally built by the city's founders to shelter from the harsh mountain winters.   The Old City is divided into several layers, with the upper levels reserved for the wealthy and influential citizens of Pottersteel. Here, you can find luxurious apartments and mansions, as well as high-end shops and restaurants. As the city grew and developed, the lower layers of the Old City was largely forgotten and abandoned, becoming a haven for criminals and outcasts.   As you go deeper into the Old City, however, the living conditions become more cramped and squalid. The lower levels are home to the city's criminals and outcasts, as well as those who cannot afford to live in the upper levels. Here, the streets are narrow and winding, and the buildings are old and crumbling.
