Session 7

General Summary

Returning to the chapel, our heroes are let back inside by Michelle, who can barely believe his eyes. He leads them to Lain, who listens to the report of their endeavours. After hearing them out, Lain refuses the chain of the white exorcist, saying that he has a follow-up request for the group, should they accept. Since he is not able to leave his post, he wants the heroes to travel to Steadfast and ask the church there to send reinforcements to the chapel. He tells the party to seek out Lightbearer Karaka, who he also promises will reward them for their efforts. The party happily accepts.
Before resting in the beds provided to them by Lain, the party takes some time to examine the idol of the Griefwarden, but is not able to find out anything more about who, or what, may have made it. As they wake up the next day, Lain blesses the party before sending them on their way toward Steadfast with a letter to the Lightbearer.
During the days of travel that follow, the group gets to talking, mainly about Bright and her odd nature. They discuss the odd fact that she can't drink and eat, nor does she need to sleep. The fact that she can't really feel touch evolves into a bigger discussion about "The birds and the eggs", leaving Fulmin quite flustered. Which could be considered fair after he referred to Bright as "quite dense".
The group also takes this time to ponder more about the bell, and after Maaria gets confirmation from the sword she carries that Tara has used the bell on several occasions, they make another attempt at ringing it. She asks the following questions: "Are you from this plane?" "Are you a deity?" "Do you want us to free you?"
The bell sends its answers in odd vision once more, but the answer to all questions is one and the same: "No"
As the journey toward Steadfast continues, Maaria uses her tools to craft a wonderful beerstein for when they get to the customs office. Bright also forages for interesting flowers on the way, managing to procure some Frostbreath Bloom, a herb used to brew potions of frost resistance.
When they finally arrive at the city, they are easily let through the gate after gifting such a nice token to the city guards. The party is given directions to the Lightbearer lodge, the church of Iri within Steadfast, and their carriage slowly starts rolling up the huge ramps leading into the city.
But there was another thing that occurred during their travels. A strange dream of someone who could've, but chose not not, peek inside. And for some reason, Pent has seemed completely out of it for a few days.
