Session 4

The session begins as the party travels on the small roads running through the dark E'rathian forest. Their stagecoach slowly rumbling toward the tattered flag seen on their map of interest. The party has started to create some routines, at least setting up guard shifts for the nights, but are still very new to travelling together.
  We spend some time as they start talking about their heritage and where they have travelled, a conversation that begins because neither Bright nor Maaria have ever left their hometown. Hruila speaks of her home of Pathu, where the sand shimmers like gold. Both Pent and Fulmin are quite hesitant and avoids the question somewhat, but Pent finally relents that he has travelled from Golbia, all the way from the western continent of Marathenn. All of them share in the excitement for all the sights that are to come.
  That excitement shifts, or grows, as the group comes upon a settlement under attack by a demonic creature. They quickly rush to aid, and an intense battle unfolds. The centaur-like beast proves to be resistant to all kinds of elemental damage and unleashes a massive energy blast that nearly ends the party. Pent takes the worst of it, but before he can succumb to death's embrace, he is saved by incredible bird CPR from his trusty familiar Oz.
  Though a harrowing battle, the party are finally victorious. Upon its death, the creature turns into dust, a sign that this was a fiend that must have been summoned here. But by whom, or why, remains very unclear. The party is then greeted by the townsfolk, who host a feast to celebrate their saviors. During the feast, Bright and Fulmin share a moment where she asks for his help in learning how to fight and exploring why she seems to take to it so naturally.
  We end the night with Hruila singing a lullaby from her home, and our heroes go to sleep knowing that they achieved something great today.
  But, as he sleeps, Fulmin dreams.
