E'rathia

One of the smallest countries of Falas by area, it is a trading nation that has been able to sustain its border due to the mountain range that divides it from Lyrran to the east.

Sees a lot of maritime trade due to its position on the western coast of Trildovaar.

Ruled by a royal family whose lineage dates back to before The Dawn War.

Structure

Led by its Royal Family, E'rathia is a fiefdom that is controlled by appointed officials. Most of these are Dukes and Duchesses who act as Stewards for one of the land's major towns or cities. These stewards appoint their own officials to work under them. The Royal Family acts as stewards of Timbershire, the nation's capital, but delegates much of their work to the Stalwart Council.

Smaller towns are often run by lower-ranking officials, while villages might just leave their governance to an elder or local priest.

Public Agenda

For centuries, E'rathia has prided itself on not being governed by an Archon. Through their massive naval strength and the protection granted them by the Palepeak mountain range, they have been able to withstand all attempts to change that fact.

Military

The E'rathian Royal Navy - One of the mightiest fleets in the world

The Pale Guard - Soldiers stationed along the Palepeak Mountains, to hold the border.

The Blackpine Rangers - Mobile forces dedicated to domestic disputes and protecting the people

Religion

E'rathia is not dedicated to the specific worship of any of the gods, but allows its people to pray to whoever they see fit.

As the country relies heavily on its timber production and forestry, worship of Lagreth is often the most common. Temples to Dethienn and Garhamrah are common in larger towns and cities.

Faith is seen as a quite personal thing among E'rathians and only the most devout flaunt their beliefs in public.

Education

General education in E'rathia often takes place within temples of Dethienn. The clergy of these temples are dedicated to making sure most children are taught the basics of language, history, maths, and economics. To not come into dispute with the country's leadership, these educators are usually careful not to push the worship of their god within these teachings.

For those looking to study magic, there are two institutions within the country: The Arcane Lodge in Timbershire and Frostbreath Academy in Ferbrook.
