Naming Traditions
Feminine names
Are usually 3 or more syllables long, ending in -ph, -th or -ss.
Masculine names
Begin ' Lo' '.
Unisex names
Unisex names will combine the rules of male and female names, such as ' Lo'Seriph '
Family names
Take their family names from their biological father. These always end in vowels.

Shared customary codes and values
Disapproval of public affection, and often touching someone in public at all. At meeting an acquaintance or friend in public, Sereculans bow their head only.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
At the birth of a child, the biological father must meditate for three days following to choose the name. For Seers, this is believed to be guided by Necessity, but humans follow this tradition as well, though they usually then discuss the name with the biological mother before determining it for definite.
If the biological father is not around, the mother decides the name.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Sereculans cremate their dead and spread their ashes into the sea, either directly or by the Essenes River.

Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Sereculans believe in being smart always in public - beauty comes from being refined and straight faced among crowds of people.
Courtship Ideals
Courtship is expected to take place in private, though any member may request a chaperone without fear of judgement. PDA is frowned upon except for on special occasions such as marriages, birthdays and festivals.
Relationship Ideals
Sereculan ideals of relationships are to begin a courtship between the ages of 16 and 22, court for at least 2 years, and then to settle into a marriage. Divorce is frowned upon.
