Session 42: The Smackdown

The session began as the players crawled out of the house they were flung into by the colossal lizard. Kutter immediately leaped into action, trying to climb on the beast's head but he was shaken off and stomped into the ground by the reptile's massive clawed foot. Jason ran out but was chomped, then spat out barely alive. May, terrified, shouldered the completely unconscious Kenny and ran him to safety. Jericho, similarly terrified, followed soon after Blair ran to Jason's aid, but RM moved to an advantageous position behind the house and sniped at the creature's six eyes, trying to blind it but the creature spat back at her. Quinten also went for the eyes with his laser rifle. The creature hardly flinched from these attacks, smashing the house the players were hidden in and relentlessly swiping at them as they scrambled back to cover. It began speaking in English, cursing them for interrupting its slumber.

Finally, Alexandru stepped up to bat, putting out his pipe, cleaning it, and tucking it into his jacket pocket. He shouted "Tarrasque!!! I've found you!!!" The Terrasque shifted its attention one eye at a time to Alexandru retorting, "Slayer... when will you realize your task is Sisyphean?" Alexandru flew forward at blinding speed delivering a massive uppercut knocking the 400-foot-long beast back into the lake he told the players to run and kill the "woods creature". Kutter gave him shit telling him he should use that pistol from earlier. Alexandru threw the pipe pistol at his head, which he parried. Kutter picked up Blair, Jason, and RM, then ran them out of the battle.

The players left the village reuniting with their troops and went to make camp. Jason lamented the loss of his power armor but just then it came flying from the sky, nearly crushing Jericho. A massive hand mark dug into the shoulder. Someone had apparently thrown it, seemingly Alexandru. They could see massive pillars of water shooting up from above the treeline as Alexandru and the Tarrasque continued to exchange blows They needed to heal before they hunted Sarn. Quinten searched and found an abandoned Minuteman patrol base, so The Liberators made camp for a day and slept in shifts. From their camp, they could still hear the Tarrasque's roars and Alexandru's thunderous punches echoing through the woods until noon the next day. They went to investigate, finding both gone but a massive trail of destruction was visible on the northeast corner of the lake, carving through the trees and brush, heading out to sea. The players returned to camp and prepared to redeploy as they had received orders from Admiral Longfellow. The enemy fleet had been found and they had taken over The Island.
