Fallen London: What Is & Is Not

Created by

Throughout history have been 4 everlasting mysteries lingering among the collective curiosities of the ivory tower of academia. The “Missing Cities:” 4 curiously absent cities from their location. Records in writing & geology, artefacts having traveled, are evident, we know of their existence, we know exactly where they should be… & yet they are gone. Uruk of Mesopotamia, Amarna of Egypt, Calakmul of Maya, & Karakorum of Mongolia.

Many would try to explain this, from confusion & incorrect information, migration of the cities, mysterious calamities that wiped out the cities instantaneously… all but the latter could be disproven easily, yet no real evidence for the latter either, nothing to show it.

14th of December, AD 1862

The year after Prince Consort Albert of Saxe-Coburg & Gotha had perished, leaving her majesty in deep everlasting depression, a deal was made. On the morning of the 14th of December, AD 1862, 3 large & enshrouded figures snuck into the Blue Room of Windsor Castle, where her majesty had been mourning all alone. Too stunned to call for the gaurds, believing the figures to be death & coming for her, she heard them out. They had not come to reap the rest of the monarchy, they had come with a deal. Her majesties posessions - most of all, the city of London - in exchange for bringing back her beloved.

She accepted the terms.

Over the course of the remainder of the day, throughout Britian, these places (along ruins on a hill mistaken for their belonging) would be slowly swarmed with bats.
