Ellis Colden has absolutely no magical talent whatsoever, quite the opposite. She does not allow a single drop of mysteria entering her life, for one simple reason - she is highly allergic to it, and will break out in an extremelly annoying rash, if that stuff gets anywhere near her. You might wonder then, why such a girl like this, works in a magical café telling people their fortunes through a pack of playing cards like that, but in times where all other careers are being replaced with AI, magic is the only field where technology has absolutely no space (unless you want your place to burn down through a surprise electrical fire).
Everybody needs to pay rent somehow and if lying on your resumé is the way to do it, so be it.
Curiously, no one has complained as of yet, that her prediction do not come true.
Biography
Not much is known about her life before she joined the Secret Society and got her cartomancy permit and she loves to joke about being in fact a Russian spy. Lying comes to her more naturally than breathing, which is a skill you desperately need if you want to survive in modern society. She works hard on fostering her witchy visage by feeding stray cats in the neighborhood on the way from work, but some people speculate that this is how in fact she pays them for local gossip."If they don't know who you are, they have no way of hurting you."
