"What do I do?" John seemed taken aback by her question.
The Director looked exasperated. "You're a Crux Mage, aren't you?" When he continued to hesitate, she sighed. "What sort of situations are you good at handling?"
"I'm good at talking to people," he said cheerfully, and in direct contradiction to recent evidence. "And I'm probably pretty useful in unarmed combat."
