The Founder

The Founder is the first being who sacrificed their body and magic to create the island of Faetalia and the Original Fairies. Due to their sacrifice, no fairy has actually met them, and everything known about them is from stories passed through the generations. As time passes, their tale becomes more myth than fact, and some fairies do not even believe they ever really existed. Where they came from is unknown, but many theorize they came from the large masses of land beyond Faetalia looking for something more. Whether there are more like them is a mystery as well. As the tale goes, they felt lonely, the only one of their kind, and strived to create more beings just like them, as well as a place for them to live. Some fairies take comfort imagining that the Founder is still watching over them and making sure the island and the fairies residing on it is well taken care of.
