Schooling
School is far less traditional in Faetalia, meaning there are no big establishments where fairies have to go five days a week to learn. Rather, it’s more community-based and self-reliant on a fairy’s willingness to learn, and an older fairy's willingness to teach. There’s no curriculum all fairies are taught or a strict schooling system.
But let’s say a fairy grows up in a farming town; they’re likely to have knowledge of farming passed down to them by a family member or mentor. Or Earth Fairies may have knowledge pertaining to Earth Fairies that get taught to each generation. Different locations will have different histories a fairy from there might learn about. Libraries may exist where a fairy can go to seek out information they wish to learn.
Most notably, Pickwickian Forest is full of the most scholarly fairies. This would be the most likely place for teacher-like fairies to exist who may set up their own classes. It is also the place with the largest library full of books on every subject one could imagine. Many interested in learning will go to a place like this to get the full extent of knowledge of the island, its history, and any other relevant information they may seek.
Otherwise, the sorts of things a fairy might learn, get taught, or seek out will vary from location to location and from fairy to fairy. Even if a fairy is born in a town where there’s a large focus on metalwork, they may choose to seek out information on gardening. Though they may not be able to find extensive information on that in Mount Hellion, it could spur them onto a learning journey on how to garden.
