Amafrey was taken in by her uncle Pavel after her mother's death when Amafrey was 12, since then she and Pavel have travelled across Faerûn, enduring long and arduous pilgrimages on foot to show their shared devotion to Ilmater. Though parts of the journeys were always difficult and painful, Amafrey took pleasure in the massive range of people she and her uncle were able to meet, and she looks forward to meeting other residents of the Hinterlands.
