Session VIII: An Errand for the King

Our intrepid adventurers started the session going to the castle in Downfall to get outfitted as member's of the court.  They investigated a large black balloon in the shape of a storm cloud.  Here they met two darklings, Trinket and Bauble, selling various items.  Among the items purchased were a bundle of wood, a thimble, and Wallace traded the color of his eyes for the Moonlight Monocle 
  Returning they came upon the holding cells where prisoners are kept.  They met Morgort, a bullywog soldier, that assisted in Sir Talavar escape.  She is sentenced to single combat and will likely die in the process.  The group agreed to help break her out, steal a balloon, and try to escape.
  The group managed to navigate to the far side of the lake and passed a group of sprites that insisted on taunting the party.  They drank a flagon of beer the group had.  This was ignored and the group continued on.
  The group also met Octavian Meliame, an elf, who was cursed by Bavlorna.  She stole his heart and replaced it with a goat's heart.  The group agreed to help him and try to retrieve his heart to remove his curse.
  Coming upon a hut, the group investigated.  It appeared to be the dwelling of a group of bullywog.  They found a chest and attempted to open it.  Mirum Baraka failed in spectacular fashion, and then Ellywick Scheppen was able to successfully open it.  Scaldedstar NefertikiTorch took the mummified toad and the spices contained within.
  The next hut contained Illig, Baron of Muckstump, and several of his loyalists.  They asked him to help them with Bavlorna Blightstraw, he asked for their help killing the king.  They worked to twart the coup.  They hoped this would result in a favor from the king.  Mirum and ScaldedStar  turned Illig over they asked the king to release Morgort in exchange. He agreed.
  The following hut contained the king's mount, a giant toad.  His handler, Vlonk, was regurgitated by the toad.  It was apparently a game they play.  He enlisted them to watch the toad while he took a quick swim to clean up.  In the process ScaldedStar was swallowed and Shiro None freed her using Mage Hand to grab the toad's uvula.
  The next adventure was finding a cauldron full of some liquid.  When it was approached, it skittered away.  Ignan, a magmin, emerged from the coals heating the cauldron, and offered them the password to allow them to gain access to the contents.  All that it required was exchanging the wood they purchased earlier for the password.
  The cauldron contained a polymorph spell.  The group filled 3 waterskins with the potion.  Instead of trying it themselves, they hatched a plan to trick the sprites into drinking it.  On their way back to the tree with the sprites, they ran across a few lookouts.  The lookouts were laughing amongst themselves about a few travelers that ended up in a fight with the Merrow.  The party agreed that "they" were laughable and moved on.
  Returning to the tree, the sprites consumed the polymorph potion.  The four of them immediately transformed.  The group was now facing a group of 3 Giant Toads and 1 Giant Dragonfly; all with the attitude of the abusive sprites.
