Session VII: Downfall Report
General Summary

Traveling down the river the party came to a bullywog village called Downfall . The group spoke to the Bullywogs greeting them about Sir Talavar.They were invited to come see the village and meet their king,King Gullop XIX .

Walking down the path they came to a stream. While crossing by jumping rock to rock Scaldedstar stepped on a Galeb Duhr. It was very cross but let ScaldedStar apologize by singing a song.Thurmst upon crossing fell into the lake and a group of 3 Merrow attacked.First round Lemli entangled one of the Merrow. ScaldedStar used her breath weapon and hit two of them. The Merrow hit Thurmst with a harpoon and pulled him towards them.

The Bullywogs joined the fight and attacked the Merrow. Thurmst cast Guiding Bolt and hit one of the Merrow. Wallace missed his attack with Dart. Tootie tried to use Minor Illusion to try to get the Galeb Duhr involved but failed. Zendarya gave Inspiration to Shiro and then hit the Merrow with Vicious Mockery. Shiro dove at the Merrow and stabbed it. Mirum shot an arrow and missed.Round 2 Lemli cast Fairy Fire to give advantage to the others. ScaldedStar moved into the water and readied for an attack. The Merrow attacked Shiro and Relentless Endurance was the only thing keeping him going. Another Merrow attacked ScaldedStar and she countered with her long sword and Divine Smite. Shiro was killed by the third Merrow.

Bullywog reinforcements arrived and killed two of the Merrow. The third retreated.Shiro was successfully revived and healed.

Continuing on to the court of King Gullop, the group crossed the Bullywog bridge. A row of severed heads were displayed. They were all former monarchs and none to happy about being beheaded and put on spikes upon the bridge. In the middle of the bridge the group met Clapperclaw Scarecrow and he told them his sad tale of losing his head. The party agreed to help find his head, and in return he would guide them to Thither.

Finally reaching King Gullop’s court, they discussed Bavlorna Blightstraw and agreed to return her book. It was questionable why the king had it. In order to meet Bavlorna, the group agreed to become members of the king’s court. Shiro gifted Agdon’s branding iron to the king.

One member of the court passed a note to Mirum. It was concerning someone called IlligThe group left the king’s court and were escorted to the keep for outfitting appropriate for members of the court.
