Before Time
"The Before times, when the gods were torn from us."
The most mysterious and argued-about event in history, the time when gods were torn from the worlds of men. A time of myth, death, rebirth, and change. According to the best historical and archaeological records, it occurred roughly 12-15,000 years ago. Entire civilizations crumbled. New land rose from the seas, and mountains detonated in massive, firey explosions. Magic fundamentally changed, and the invention of wizardry occurred as mortals attempted to re-connect with the magical forces of the new universe.
Immediately following the Sundering, the gods' first servants, the Dragons, realized they were now free to rule the world their creators had seemingly abandoned, kicking off the Time of Dragons.
