Attacks from the south and east and constant pressures both internally and from the people of Faelderin force the Empire of the Sands to withdraw south beyond the Star Lake and the Izailie River. In the void left, kingdoms begin to form and the barbarians of the north being to settle.

With the fall of the empires both in Faelderin and beyond small kingdoms began to form. The land was divided and much fell back to wilderness. ancient cities were lost to time and much of the great achievement of the empires was lost, but humanity endured and even began to expand once more toward the latter days of the age. this all ended with the rise of Paliax and the re-emergence of the chaos.
