The IronCrown

The Iron Crown, Once known as the Steel Gauntlet Mercenary Company have forged out a small kingdom for themselves within the free cities.

They Control many of the former free city location especially east of the Greyforge Mountains although they maintain their capital in Irontor to the south.

For many years they were a normal small to medium mercenary company plying their trade in the Kingdom of Basaras, Free Cities and Shekiac.

That changed about 30 years ago while working for the Queen of Shekiac and her hellish cohorts. The leader of the then called Steel Gauntlet Mercenaries, Garan Vishneryk disappeared leaving the company leaderless and in disarray. This almost ended the company’s story but short after Garan reappeared, but he was changed, no longer was he content to just work for pay at the mercy of guild and employers, Garan returned with ambitions to rule the free cities and beyond.

Garan began referring to himself as Lord Vishneryk and require all who were presented to him to do the same, penalty of insolence was a swift death at the hands of his new devilish allies. In addition, the name of the company was changed to the Iron Crown as an insult to the Ironmaster Dwarves of the Greyforge Mountains, who had recently defeated the company while working for Shekiac.

Lord Vishneryk quickly set about taking control of the smaller free cities and claiming them as his own.

Goals

The current goals of the Iron Crown seem simple enough, to gain a foothold in the Virishi Valley and help Shekiac destabilize the kingdom of Basaras in an effort to overthrow the Blind Queen.

Lord Vishneryk has a more personal goal to gain the throne for himself and hopes to one day rival the surrounding nations in power and influence.

Relations

Currently allied with Shekiac, which provides aid and financial support for the ambitious Lord Vishneryk.

Has made enemies of the Ironmaster Dwarves, Julfires Rebels and the Blind Queen. Many people within the “Free Cities” see the Iron Crown as dictators and bullies but are currently too weak to have any influence.

Area of Influence

Currently the Iron Crowns influence only extends from Shekiac, the Free Cities, Virishi Valley and the southern fringes of the Kingdom of Basaras.
