Following the death of King Bravos Varin I, the monarch of the Varin Empire, the continent was plunged into a succession crisis.
Five separate factions each vied for power, attempting to crown their claimant as the next king.
The war came to a close with the victory of King Tarvis Varin, the late king's third son.
The Five King Rebellion is sometimes called the 60 Year War.
