A set of three back to back wars over control of the Varin Empire. Beginning with the First Bolton Civil War, between 1944 and 1945, that saw Stannis Bolton overthrow the Tyrant Lucius Varin II, and be crowned the first Bolton King. 

Stannis ruled for a year before his younger brother, Algar Bolton, attempted to take the throne for himself, declaring war on his brother and beginning the Second Bolton Civil War. The war waged between 1946 and 1950, and ended with Stannis beheaded and Algar sat upon the throne. 

King Algar ruled the Varin Empire for six years, renaming it to the Bolton Empire. But his tyranny came to an end during the Great Revolution, between 1956 and 1957, that saw the civilian population rise up and dethrone Algar, killing him and restoring a Varin to the Throne, Queen Catlin Varin, the last daughter of Antoninus II.
